Description
1 day – This course has been designed for candidates that are competent in the practical operation of the excavator, the candidate will be required to take a practical and theory test to demonstrate their abilities with a test carried out on each element by the examiner.

Course Overview
The course is a combination of practical and multiple choice theory testing.
- Current Legal requirements and liabilities
- Provision and use of work regulation
- Safely mount and dismount the machine
- Familiarising and Understanding the manufacturers handbook for Excavators
- Identifying and Maintaining the appropriate PPE
- Pre-use inspections
- All instruments and controls
- Machine systems – lubrication, fuel and coolant
- Safe operating methods and hazards
- Carry out excavating tasks including: Trenching, backfilling, levelling and marking out
- Incline and decline Maneuvering
- Fit and remove attachments
- Other associated construction activities
- Carry out end of shift shutdown and procedure
Who should attend
Operators who are looking to renew their 360 excavator licence or those who can demonstrate their ability and competence to safely operate a 360 excavator
Certificates
Successful candidates will be awarded the NPORS Operator card valid for 3- 5 years
